Rule 1. All tour events will be individual stroke play, with each event being governed by the USGA Rules of Golf for the current year. All players must hole out on each hole. There are no "gimmes."
Rule 2. During all tour events, the ball will be played "down" (as it lies) unless the conditions warrant otherwise.
Rule 3. "Ground under repair" should be determined by at least on other member of the group in which you are playing. As a rule of thumb, if there is a risk of doing damage to your club, treat it as ground under repair.
Rule 4. At water hazards that are not marked with a hazard line, use the edge of the water or the nearest point as the hazard line.
Rule 5. In sand bunkers, a free rake and place will be granted if a ball clearly comes to rest in a footprint that has not been smoothed.
Rule 6. If the group cannot come to an agreement about how a rule should be played, play two balls from the two most likely rulings recording both scores on the card. The tournament committee will make a final ruling after the round has been completed.
Rule 7. The one ball rule will NOT be in effect for tour events.
Rule 8. At the first club event of the year, members will be given a handicap based off their estimated average. This handicap will be used for club events #1 through #3. At which time a new handicap will be calculated based on average score. Handicaps will be assigned based on the following schedule:
| Average | Handicap |
| 69.9 & below | +4 |
| 70.0 - 72.9 | +2 |
| 73.0 - 74.9 | +1 |
| 75.0 - 75.9 | 0 |
| 76.0 - 76.9 | 1 |
| 77.0 - 78.9 | 2 |
| 79.0 - 80.9 | 4 |
| 81.0 - 82.9 | 6 |
| 83.0 - 84.9 | 8 |
| 85.0 - 86.9 | 10 |
| 87.0 - 87.9 | 13 |
| 88.0 - 90.9 | 16 |
| 91.0 - 94.9 | 20 |
| 95.0 - 99.9 | 24 |
| 100.0 & above | 27 |
To be fair to all players, the tour has adopted a rule that a member cannot slide more than two handicap brackets at one time. This encompasses both up and down the handicap schedule.
Rule 9. During each tour event, the top 10 finishers will earn points toward the year end prize fund. Points are broken down as follows:
| Place | Points |
| 1st | 35 |
| 2nd | 30 |
| 3rd | 26 |
| 4th | 22 |
| 5th | 18 |
| 6th | 15 |
| 7th | 12 |
| 8th | 9 |
| 9th | 7 |
| 10th | 5 |
There will also be opportunities at each event for members to earn bonus points. For example, the member closest to the pin on a given par 3 can earn points. The Director of Club Events will inform participants of bonus chances the day of the event.
Rule 10. For each club event, members are responsible for their own green and cart fees.
Rule 11. The Weekend Golf Tour will allow players one free club event as a trial membership period. If the player chooses to return for a second event, membership dues will be payable at that event.
Rule 12. Have fun. The tour was created to make golf more exciting, so "TEE IT HIGH and LET IT FLY!!!"
